NJ Inspection
I've heard and read a lot of different things about what you can and can't have to pass inspection in NJ. Does anyone have any concrete information?
My inspection ends next month and my private inspection guy I used twice is out of business. P.S. If anyone can suggest somewhere else to go in Bergen County, shoot me a PM!

You won't pass without the OEM xpipe. Do you have a tune? You might be ok with a tune.... but you'll need the oem xpipe for sure.
I'm in the same boat and actively looking for a oem xpipe. My car failed for o2 sensors not showing readiness. Otherwise I would have been fine. Once I find a Oem xpipe my car will pass, even with the supercharger.

Only way to find out is to go try but my fabspeed high flow xpipe didn't work. My tune clears the cel as well but its the o2 sensors not showing readiness that gets you.

Thanks for the heads up. I rather spend the money on a private then to have to remove parts and reinstall them :

You'll be ok with a tune. NJ is much more easy on it.
I forgot to add that I have "dummy" primary cats installed. Primary cats hollowed out, makes it appear as if the primary cats are there when really its just a continuation of the x pipe. With this said, while watching the guy have a hard time driving my car over the camera he didnt even look at the camera. That would be the only issue. Car passed all tests and all. Good luck buddy |

In case anyone wants to know, I PASSED!
I pulled up with tints, no license plate, gintani exhaust and hfc xpipe and a velos tune. The key is to have primary cats as they use a camera. Thanks for everyone's input and hope this helps anyone else. Ps. I went to the DMV on century road in Paramus

Yes. My hfc xpipe only removes the secondary cats. The primary stayed on but I'm sure a lot of people remove them to get a nice hp gain
