5D Carbon Fiber Roof/Sunroof delete panel Wrap, actually looks good

So I agonized over this decision for a while, but after getting my sunroof delete panel I was faced with a conundrum. If I installed just the panel it wouldn't match my roof, so decided to wrap both the delete panel, and the roof skin. Considering my car is black it was not as easy as choosing gloss black, as if my car were just about any other color.
Ended up liking the look of the 5d carbon fiber, so pulled the trigger. My buddy and I got the roof done in about 3 hours start to finish, and I did the sunroof delete panel myself in about 30 min.
Here are some teaser pics...

Looks hella good. I may do this just to protect my cf roof since I don’t have a garage.

Make sure to buy extra length because you will want to wrap the panel with its own piece of vinyl, and not rely on the middle piece you cut out when doing the roof panel. Pretty obvious, but just thought I would mention it.

Just answered a pm about the gasket/weatherstripping I used between the sunroof delete panel and the roof. Didn't know many other people did this mod, but I am happy to hear it.
So I got a 5/16 universal weatherstripping roll from Autozone ($15), installed it with adhesive side attached to the inside of the roof panel AFTER vinyl wrapping, then used exacto knife to trim excess material below roof lip. I personally used a little bit of dish soap coated on the weatherstripping prior to installing delete panel, then after tightening hardware took my vinyl squeege and lightly ran it between the weatherstripping and panel to smooth it out and make it uniform.

Cool thanks. Thinking of sealing the blank plate and re wrap the roof to look as one piece.

Do you mind sharing where you purchased the sunroof delete?

Looks really good! But the main concern I have is for the no brand vinyl, it might be a pain in the butt in the future if you want to remove them.

IMO a car might check off all your other boxes, and be the right price and timing.

I polished my roof with Chem guys VSS on a white pad, then sealed it with blacklight and jetseal, so hopefully when the time comes(on a hot sunny day with the car baking for a few hours, plus a little bit of heat gun and patience, the vinyl lifts without doing any damage.) Another bonus for me is that my car is garaged 100% of the time, and I only drive it a couple times a week.
I had the roof of my 335i wrapped in 3m gloss black, but the car was parked outside, and I swear to G within 6 months the vinyl looked like absolute garbage.
