Any interest in trading your E90 M3 for my E39 M5?
I purchased a single owner 02’ E39 M5 in 2018 with ~74,000 miles and am now nearly complete with my efforts in perfecting the Beast. Over the last year, I have completed: New Starter New Light Weight Single Mass Flywheel and Stage II Clutch New Pilot Bearing New Rear Main Seal New Clutch Master Cylinder New Drive Shaft Carrier Bearing New Differential Gasket and Carrier Bushing New Super Sprint Exhaust ALL New Tie Rods, Thrust Arms, Control Arms, Ball Joints – Front and Rear New kW V2 Coil-Overs – Front and Back, Lowered (fully adjustable height and dampers) All New Camshaft Position Sensors (CPS) Sensors (4) New Short Shift and Bushings New Radio (original OEM) Added Bluetooth Functionality (Aux) Upgraded Headlight Tilt Levers (both headlights) New Mass AirFlow Sensors (2) New Side Mirror (motor tilt mechanism) New Pilot Sport 4S x4 New Oversized Rear Adjustable Dinan Swaybar New Front Grill w/ Aluminum Brake Vent Cups New Door Seal New Washer Pumps New low-mileage transmission – the original is available (occasionally pops out of 1st gear) The car is: -10 out of 10 mechanically -10 out of 10 interior -9 out of 10 exterior There are a few imperfections but not many – it’s very clean. It has the best sounding OEM sound-systems I’ve heard and the added Bluetooth was a necessity. The new suspension (tie rods, thrust arms, control arms, ball joints and coilovers) make the car handle with precision at all speeds. It virtually has no dive or roll in the corners. The kW coilover dampers are fully adjustable so you can personally set your ride style. The Supersprint exhaust sounds beautiful and sophisticated at low RPMs and is not obnoxious at high RPMs. The car has low-key integrated in-dash front and rear radar and laser jammers. Essentially – the car is beautiful with its chassis, engine, interior and body near perfect condition with very minor imperfections for its mileage. The car currently has ~80,000 miles. It’s been garaged its entire life, never driven in the winter and hast has a clean title, clean Car-Fax and has never been in an accident. I’m 51 years old and the original owner was a retiring professional - this car has been well respected. Why am I looking too trade? My son is building a track car and I’d like to join him on the track with my own E90 M3 project. Also, much to my wife’s dismay - I need (want) another project... Winter is coming and this project is wrapping up. The car is located in Portland, OR. I’ve had two cars in my life that have really given me pleasure – a car that brings a huge smile to your face EVERY SINGLE TIME you drive it… My first car – a 1978 Datsun 280z – a rust bucket but fun as hell at the age of 16. The other car is this Beast. PM me if you have any interest. |
