All weather mats Velcro

I bought the BMW all weather mats and they came with the Velcro pads to install to keep them in place. It seems you just screw then directly into the cars floorboard? For some reason that sounds odd. Anyone have experience with this?

Interesting. Just seems odd to me to just screw them in directly into the floor. But cool then.

I didn't use the screw down velcro pads. The mats stay put pretty well without them.
