Cool Skynet is reality, just mater of time when it takes over humanity

Most of you probably remember the movie Terminator Now China has build Skynet so question is not if, but when will it take over humanity!

Mr. Shen told the group that his company had surveillance systems at more than 20 airports and train stations, which had helped catch 1,000 criminals. Eyecool, he said, is also handing over two million facial images each day to a burgeoning big-data police system called Skynet.

Meh. I’m worried about when they start abusing CRISPR technology and start turning their soldiers into X-men....

Is this the same Chinese government that when looking for MH370 had a hand held ping detector over the side of a row boat looking for the plane?

They should sell that to Apple
Since their facial recognition on their iPhones can't seem to differentiate more than 1 Chinese face

well technically their FaceID is only supposed to recognize only once face anyway so job well done on their part.

Lots of countries are rolling out facial recognition. And what about license plate readers? Those are pretty widely deployed in the US if you're in a major city. Most people forget, but if the information is needed, there is a database several years long of where your car was driven and when. I haven't seen terminator but it sounds like that future has been with us for some time now.

Things are closer to "Minority Report" and "1984", by the sounds of it.

Relax people. This is a far cry from the real Skynet. It's nothing more than a glorified surveillance system.

Damn! You’re right. I forgot. It’s Wednesday. And on Wednesday I get to have a kale and chard and banana smoothie.

I have coffee every day, but on Wednesday I get to leave the caffeine in it!!

Let me guess, chard is the treat portion????

Since OT, I have this arugula coming up in my garden. I go out and rip off a few pieces and just pop them in my mouth. They are so bitter/astringent, I just know it's good for me. IF I pick then take in the house and wash, or just wait until dinner, they die and don't have that BITE any more.
