Exclamation PSA: Ross Bentley Speed Secrets seminar July 30

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...secrets-167686

Hey, I wish I could come to the track and coach you in person! I suspect you’d like a coach to help you be an even better driver, too. But that’s not always practical, so let’s find another way. My experience tells me that the one thing that most drivers struggle with the most is what to work on, and how best to do that. That’s a big part of what I do when coaching drivers (everyone from novice track day drivers to elite-level pro racers), so let me share with you…let me tell you how you can coach yourself, so you drive better than ever before (and have more fun). That’s what the Self-Coaching for Drivers webinar on July 30th will do. Oh, and I’ll give you my best coaching “tools” - the resources and processes that you can use to coach yourself.

If you want more info, go to SpeedSecrets.com/Self-Coaching.

Join me on July 30th, at 8:30pm Eastern/5:30pm Pacific for 90-plus minutes of presentation, discussion, and Q&A. I'm not putting an end time on the webinar because I'll keep it going until I've answered all the questions I can. At $59, it's the easiest way to get my coaching!

I look forward to sharing with you what I've learned over the past 40 years.

- Ross Bentley

Turn 9 is where time is lost. Attack!

Also, don't hit the exit cone at 6 with the left side of your bumper...but if you do, do it as stylishly as I did a couple years ago (no black flag or anything! Ha!).

Yes. It really is as simple as not going too slow in the fast parts and too fast in the slow parts.

I respect this guy and read his book as nd enjoy the podcasts but was greatly disapointed in the 2 podcasts i viewed. He literally would look at the live members for answers to very basic questions or he would just be wrong.

One asked about weight transfer during a banked corner and he had no clue. This is a really important topic yet he couldnt answer. He guessed and erroneously said weight transfer was equal but "loaded up more quickly" which is just not accurate.

Another question regarding car mass and g force potential hiven equal speed and corner radous and was incorrect.

The rest was super basic info.

In my view podcasts should be about more in depth info like banked turns or complex weight transfer in a series of turns rather than re-haahing basics from his bool.

Another example in life of "those that teach..."

He also flopped on basic stuff like factors effecting total wwight transfer.

Disspointing

which webinar are you talking about? i know he has a few you can buy and listen in on even though they are old.
sometimes the podcasts aren't as interesting and i just shut it off after about ten minutes.

lets talk about the banking situation... what was the question and what do you feel is the correct answer?

To clarify i am no expert but i am not charging money for my advice either! This was on a webinar from a few back on setting up your car i believe.

Banked turns reduce weight transfer to the outside and slow down rate ultimately increasing total traction on all 4 tires v a non banked hence we all can take them much more quickly.
