McKenna even offered me $800 over invoice...but I decided to stick with my CA at BMW Monrovia for $1000 over invoice (this is my third BMW from him within 5 years).

so here are the steps to figure out your $xx over invoice.

1.Build your 2011 M3 (coupe, sedan, vert) at edmunds.com, go here
2.Add $580 maco+training to the invoice you see after you build your car (for So. Cal), your maco+training fee will vary if you're not in So. Cal.
3.Add $800~$1000 to the number you got in step 2
4.Start e-mailing the price you acquired from the above steps to your nearby dealers.
5.You have to provide as much detail as possible about yourself, this will present yourself as a serious customer, and not some joe blow just kicking tires. it's always a plus if you are a BMWFS customer like myself...this means easier to quality for leases and loans...and this makes the job easier for any sales guy.

Your M3 will most likely be custom ordered from Germany, and most dealers should deal since they will incur no interest nor flooring charges on this M3.

Last, if your CA is willing to do your desired $xx over invoice, don't be shy....ask him for the precise monthly payment, and drive off.....from there you will find out if he's padded bogus fees and finance rate mark up.

again, my deal for reference, $1000 over So. Cal dealer invoice

^^^^ ok so i did some figures and this is a legit deal leonard got but the only way it works is he gets the BMW loyalty rate which is when yo already own a BMW. If thats the case then the number match up with that rate. However 1000 over invoice is to much. (pm me guys i can beat that)

thats the only i can get the same numbers that are posted. maybe im wrong. anyways just my 2 cents

Oh wow. I guess you learn something new every day. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a BMW loyalty rate. That makes it all that much more attractive. Are you able to disclose what that rate is?

That's kind of a big missing piece of information!

How much is each security deposit? $550? I talked about MSD with my SA who has worked there for over a decade and he said he's never heard of such a thing.

I think it's the rounded up amount of the monthly payment, so if his was 975, he must have put 7X1000 MSDs to lower the rate by 00049.
I still don't get what a loyalty rate is though...

He said in another thread that he got a rate of .00151 with his multiple security deposits.

What I'm trying to figure out is how much much his payment would have been had he *not* put down 7 MSDs.

Does anyone have a good calculator for these leases? I'm plugging the numbers in but I'm getting lower dollar figures that what people are posting in here.

Using this calculator:
http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm

I plug in $65950, 9.75% sales tax, .0151 MF, 59% residual, 36 months...I'm seeing ~$935. How in the heck do we get to $975? What am I doing wrong?

Just my guess -
He got the 975 before the 0020 became available, the old base rate was 0023 or 00181 with MSDs.

guys,

Each security deposit is calculated by rounding the monthly payment up to the next $50 mark.

Payment = $549, One security = $550
Payment = $551, One security = $600

Its also the monthly payment AFTER the MSD buydown

There is no loyalty reduction to the money factor on a 2011 according to the June program ending on 6/30. It's nice that the rates dropped though. I had a lot of good news to share with customers the past couple days!
