How aggressive are these weather warrior days? I have one track day at the Ridge under my belt but I sort of want a casual run at it in my M. I am free Monday and the weather looks right.

I'm planning on March 17 at PR if it doesn't rain.

you should sign up. it'll be a great day.

these days are not aggressive! .. just don't expect to find a bunch of noob, inexperienced and cocky novices who are unpredictable and do dumb shit on the track.

Intstead, you'll find intermediate to advanced drivers at these days - which is actually good as they know what they're doing..

as long as you are predictable, can hold your line and are respectful of others around you, you'll be fine!

I'm working all weekend but as long as I can find time to do my brake pad and fluid change, I'm in. I just don't want to feel like I have to drive at the limit. 8-9/10ths is good enough for me.

Is that a "Turn 2" event w/Tom Pritchet running the show? I keep getting his emails for winter events at the Ridge...sure seems like a hell of a deal, price wise.

I had a good day at Pacific yesterday. The e46 M3 is running great for only its second day! It is a blast to drive........the aero is fun and tricky to get used to. I wish I could get to the Ridge Monday but cant get away for work.

I'm signed up for tomorrow. Leaving work in a few minutes and then I have to swap pads and flush the brakes. I hope it goes as expected so I'm not up super late. See you tomorrow. -Judd

Were you there? Great day yesterday and a bunch of M3s. There was a white E92 (someone else), a space gray E92, a silverstone E90, and a few E46s

The Audi club is at the Ridge this weekend. Has anyone ran with them lately? How are their passing rules in the advanced group?

I don't know if it was the same group but ran with Audi at ORP early last year. As a group they didn't seem to have the experience other clubs/drivers have. They stuck myself and another friend in the intermediate group for half the day before we moved to advanced. Oh, no passing first session of the day. I would like to avoid being stuck behind slower cars for half a day.
Any feedback?

havent run with them but that would suck for you as you can smoke almost every car out there. especially audi newbs.

Why, so I can spend a bunch of pointless money and look like everyone else?
Tint, reflectors, grill might be in my future but for now I'm more concerned about BBK and track wheels/tires. I enjoy my car by driving it, not by having others telling me how good it looks.

Next track day for me is March 17 at Pacific, weather permitting. Bring your pretty cars out and let's see if we can hit turn 1 at 150.

Nice guys. I'm planning on registering with the S2000 for the June 29th track day at The Ridge. Did the M3 there last year, and it was a hoot couldn't quite touch 150 because I didn't want to brake that late

Pics (not sure if this will work):

A video my friend made:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=EBapBM0doMk
At the beginning of the video you see a big dust cloud. That was me running a C6 Z06 off the track (he would not let me pass so I tailgated him for over half a lap for a point-by and he ran out of skill).

Here are two unedited videos from my car
