Need help with an M3 I'm buying tomorrow!
Hey guys/girls!
I use to own a e92 M3 alpine white back in 2011, I got rid of it so I could start a business. But I made a bad choice at the same time, I bought an Audi A4 Quattro to save money and what not; most terrible mistake of my life.. Anyway, long story short, I'm going in tomorrow to to a dealership to see if I can cop a used one. Can you guys tell me if this is a good deal or even a good idea!? Specs: One owner, no mods 2011 BMW E92 M3 $50,525 Space Gray with Red/black interior 23,000 miles on it DCT Tranny Comp package Premium sound and navi

Closer to $45-47 depending on how long the seller wants to hold out. $50 is too much. Take a look at the classifieds section and see what's the going rate for cars with similar specs.

$45k would definitely be a steal. I'd say $47k is a fair price and $50k is definitely too high.

I don't know how you guys are estimating these prices. Unless it is cheaper in West coast, I cannot find such a price in East coast. All the cars I find around my 500 radius are similar to OP (50k and above)!

The pricing on the M3 seems very counterintuitive. The best prices I have been seeing are in West coast and south, and the highest are Northeast. I would think that the used cars would demand higher prices in the warmer weather states. Granted, the sedans are running a few thousand more than coupes at the dealer, but ones I found in New England are near $55K for a 2011 sedan with competition.

Good Morning fellas!!
Thanks for all the input! Out of all honesty, I was okay with paying 50k for the car, but after doing a little research, I found out that fair market price for this specific car would be around 48-49k.. But what would be some good points to present to the dealership to lower the price? Because they keep saying "we need to make profit too" and I don't know what to say to that Help! Lol

Print off the NADA prices and some like models' ads with lower prices. If they don't want to deal then move along to a different one that meets your financial comfort zone.

This. What they;re asking isn't horrible considering its from a dealer. I would see if that works

NADA is giving about $53K for this car, while KBB is giving about $48K for this car. I would look at a bunch of local listings, but I think that the dealers price above is not far off.

If you like it, buy it. What difference does $1,000 make in the long run?

I just came back from the dealership! Sick bastards down there.. They made me drive 35 miles to the dealership to tell me the car was sold last night! This is something you want to tell a customer driving a distance to buy the car! I honestly hate all the heartless vultures who work at dealerships...

I know what to say. Ask them how much they paid for the car at auction or how much they gave the person they raped on their trade in value. Offer them a $1000 profit over that amount and you will be shocked at how low the price would be! Used car profit margins are much larger than new cars.

Sold last night. Bull shit. If the car ever existed to begin with. They just want to get you on the lot to sell you something they have.

I took those pictures myself at the lot day before! I spoke to my sales rep and the manager, they ran my credit as well as my co signer and everything checked out. I said I will be back with my co signer tomorrow (this is when I posted about the car last night) they emailed me at 10pm saying okay come by around 12:30/1 and we will take care of you. I come by at 12pm today, and they said, "uuhhh... the car has been sold buddy.. someone came from NorCal and bought the car.." I said "Well this is something you should address before eI come in.. like perhaps a call or email?"
Im so angry because I can only get a car from a BMW dealership since Im pre approved by BMWF UGH!!
