Lease terms for 2012 CPO M3

Hey all,

I'm looking at a CPO 2012 M3. I wasn't aware that you could lease a CPO so I was wondering if anyone has thoughts as to what a residual value would be post a 3 year term. I haven't received terms yet from the dealer, but just want to start crunching some numbers on my own.

Thanks in advance for any input!

I didn't know you could lease a used car, nice. keep us informed. I could see that working well. A new car lease is based one a percentage of the cars vaule, so a used one value would be post depreciation thus a much lower lease cost..

I will be very interested to hear what you find out. My local dealer has a 2013 M3 6 speed with the competition package and nothing else on the used lot. Only 23xx miles and they CPO'd it. I joking asked about a lease and they said, yes we can lease CPO'd vehicles. Well, when they gave me the numbers, I could get a brand new M4 for a lower monthly payment. Yikes!

Now, I have never leased a car, so I'm sure that I could be missing something here, but I was shocked. I assumed that since year 1 for a car has the highest depreciation, then the lease payments should be lower. Well, I guess I see what happens when I assume.

I'm guessing that the residual value will be lower on a used vehicle and this is where the higher payment comes in.
