E93 in production - How long is the wait to delivery?

So I found out from the dealer that my E93 is now in production and he handed me a VIN# as well. So if it went to production this past week, approximately how long am I looking at for stateside (NJ/NY) delivery? This is my first BMW and the wait is already agonizing!

At least you already ordered it and will get it by May/early June... I'm ordering my E92 M3 in May for delivery in September.

My sympathies! I got lucky as the dealer already had a build slot for another car and he slip-streamed my order in. So I ordered last week and it went into production end of the same week. I would have been heartbroken if the wait was any longer since the window of truly enjoying the E93 top down in the North east is from May to Sept.

Best of luck with your E92; you have a restless summer ahead of you ;-)!

Not to burst your bubble but mine was started in production on 3/24, was born (out of production) on 3/29, and is currently waiting for a ship. They're telling me the soonest I can expect delivery is 5/13 and, since I've opted for PCD, I'm scheduled to pick it up on 5/19.

If I were you, I'd hold out and place an order for a '12 M3. M division usually starts production of the next MY after the month-long break in August. That's what I did, in any case (ordered in August, took delivery in Oct.). One extra month might be worth it!

I do not want to do ED in October just in case of bad weather both in Germany and in South Carolina (PCD)...

Wow thats fast. I ordered a Dakar Yellow E93 in the beginning of March. It took over a month for it to enter production. It finally went into production last Wednesday, and according to the BMW it will be done on April 27th (2 weeks from start of production). I also live in NJ/NY. Kinda upsetting considering how much this thing cost, but at least its been raining here almost everyday so I don't mind too much lol.

Yea, the rain is definitely making my wait easier. But I got an e-mail that I'm tentatively scheduled for pickup this coming Saturday! I'll post pictures when I pick it up and let you guys know how smooth the delivery process is.

Ordered mine in CT the beginning of the month and it was finished on 4/15. Now in the limbo period to the boat - or maybe on the boat. My SA has not given me any updates. Will be calling tomorrow to see if I can get the VIN and see if it is already on a ship (I hope!)
