Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments!!!

After a big push, I've been busy with the holidays and away from car the past week, but just before I left, charge pipe came back all TIG'd! On a different note, on further inspection, the fuel rail was destroyed by the local fab shop with a burn through on the underside and a twist. None available used and paying BMW OEM prices to modify and take risk destroyed again seemed insane. So, opted for a pair of Aeromotive raw extrusions and will put the Bridgeport to work making my own. Discovered that Ross makes a step bit specifically designed for the 14mm Bosch injectors I'm running (14mm Injector Port Tool) that they say "not only drills the through hole for flow into the rail bore but also counter bores the hole for the injector O-ring to seat as well as machines a radius at the point of entry to help prevent O-ring shear during install." Hopefully can get done in a morning as having thought it through, it's boring 8 holes with the tool, tapping four 7/8-14 (-10) holes for the fittings and welding 4 tabs. Until I have a non-leaking fuel rail, however, first start is sidelined.

Curious as to why you put another BOV on the charge piping. Looks really good. I would think of using hump hose connectors rather than straight silicone connectors with that one long piece of charge piping due to movement.

Ah, that's right. Still totally unnecessary. Wonder why they do that.

Looking great Ira. There are actually several reasons for the 3rd BOV from an engineering standpoint, however we elect not to divulge this information. Just understand that everything we do is for only for the performance and reliability of the product, we do not need the additional cost of unnecessary BOV's.

Couldn't quite manage the camera for the first start today, but here's the second and third moments later. Took a bit longer to get the new fuel rail milled. I'll put up pics of that later! 16 months in! Apologies for the quality of the video!

Thanks guys, really appreciate it!

When last tried to start just before XMAS, discovered the modified stainless fuel rail was burned through and garbage. I picked up a pair of raw extrusions from Aeromotive and milled the ports and wire reliefs and tapped them to 10 AN myself, cut brackets and then had someone TIG the aluminum tabs on for me. Most stressful was tightening the unions to hold 72 PSI of pressure. Was very afraid I'd strip my newly tapped aluminum threads, but all four, then three, then two and finally NONE unions leaked on further tightening-- way past my point of comfort. Reran the feed line to the passenger side and (and consequently flipped the filter and pump) and now just a short return line to the pressure sensor and into the regulator for return.

Ran into a few bugs before fired this am, but with what's probably the first cross the pond start for an FFR '33, got it worked out. Of course the biggest obstacle was holding signal in the garage. Took advantage of a MLK day here and a work day in the Netherlands for KMS to get it done. Due to the time difference, was in the garage by 4:30 am. Using TeamViewer, KMS took command of my computer that was attached to the ECU and loaded with all the software they sent me. After a full diagnostic go through, but fail to start, we found I had the (UNMARKED) blade in backwards on the driver's side throttle position sensor so was showing full throttle when none. On the second attempt but fail, we then discovered low power coming from the relay to the injectors and coils. Of course the multimeter I used two days ago chose this morning at 7 am to die a dishonorable death -- and I don't mean batteries. While KMS stood by overseas, I sped over at the 8 am open to NAPA so I could actually check! Finally for the third attempt but fail, I've been using the donor battery for now as will put in a fresh Lithium much closer to finish. Turns out the SQ6M ecu shuts power to the coils if voltage during crank drops below 11 volts (who knew?). The 'ol BMW was at 10.8. My charger wasn't enough to hold the line so a quick jump from my workhorse Cayenne got it done.

Fourth time, much to my disbelief, it started right up! Here's pics of the fuel rail. Totally stoked!!
