Thanks! The picture posted has the winter wheels on; the summer wheels are the ZCPs.

Since that picture, I have added paint matched reflectors, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber high kick spoiler, AA axle back exhaust and a carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Also the weight saving of about 400 lbs in the e92,it honestly feels like a different car.

That being said I am going to miss driving around with the top down. The engine sounds sooo amazing with the top down.

I I'll look into getting the gts tune!
Yeah, I traded speed for sound....because with the top down, the car sounds amazing.

No doubt that the E92 is decidedly more agile though and swift. Enjoy. I may trade one day, but realistically, I'd rather just find an E92 for about $5k and have both. LOL

Interesting that you decided to move within the model. I myself went to a M6 GC instead. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1448544

Anyways, like you, I moved on from a 6MT to a DCT. I have the same thoughts exactly, the DCT is a really good system. Shifts are smooth but super quick. It turns the car into a different experience. So far I don't miss the 6MT at all.

What I like about the DCT is simply its ability to drive like a slushy automatic in traffic in its lowest setting.

I concur on the agility feeling moving from a E93. I test drove a E93 M3 DCT after driving my E90 M3 for a year. I can definitely feel the added weight of the car and its turn-ins were not as sharp. Almost felt like a longer wheelbase car.

The trade happened back in March. But, I did drive the M6 and the car was bigger than what I wanted. I like relatively small cars and the M3 fits the bill perfectly. Its small and nimble, but I can still put my bike, skis, etc in the car and enjoy a weekend away.

You’re right about the seat bottom. US E93s got the seat bottom that all euro cars had/have. All other US M3s get a flatter version of the seat bottom. Weird.

I drive both back to back, my e93 has a bit of sloppiness. You can feel the back end around fast corners Doesnt feel as tight or ridged. Definitely the extra 400lbs of weight Is noticeable, suspension upgrade helps a lot . If your not tracking it's irrelevant , the topless option is priceless and I'm often on the fence with which one to keep.

Yep, in fast corners you can feel the weight. But I have aftermarket suspension, KW V2s, and it helps....it feels more planted. And better tires help too.

Since I have another car to track, and can drive other E92s at the track, I just couldn't pass up how great the E93 sounds and how awesome I feel with the top down.

And if I ever supercharge it, I think I'll be in nirvana at times. LOL

Happy to see others housing more then one m3 : )

Im trying to explain to the wife ..... I'm not the only crazy one out there .

Originally I wanted to keep just one . After a couple months I haven't posted either of them for sale . I can't pick . Swapping my charger from my e93 to the e92 almost feels like a waste of money (for a couple tenths of a second)

Eventually the plan is to find a nice pcar and keep just one . I think for saleability the e92 will be most desirable in the future... especially 6mt.

And for the street and as a street car. The top down trumps the other benefits the e92 might give. IMHO

It helps I live in Florida

Ha, that's the same way I look at it as well. It's true the E93 weighs more, but for street driving I promise you that I don't notice the weight nearly as much as I notice that I can push a button and the whole roof disappears.

I loved my e93, especially with the top down. To me, I like the look of the coupe more and I LOVE the carbon fiber roof. Also, I am able to transport my bike with the e92, which was huge for me.

At the end of the day, both amazing cars and would own either, but the e92 has the looks, drive and cargo capacity.

I felt the same. Then I lowered my e93 with K.W H.A.S. springs and that shit hugged the road like it was on rails. Drop was about 1.5 inches. It is a must.
