Don't cave to peer pressure around here. Don't let anyone fool you, edition isn't better than stock...only different. On my old SG, I loved the edition set. One of the first things I did was install the edition set on my new SSII. I actually think the stock grill and gills look equally awesome on SSII, a little more dressed up and still aggressive. Since I can install the edition set blindfolded, I go back and forth for variety.

Agreed, ssii is the only color that pulls off stock chrome grills well

Ha! I do have the Edition grills now, just not in this shot. I'm really liking them - helps to set our cars further apart from more run-of-the-mill Bimmers, and makes the car look more purposeful and less showy. Still not sure about the painted reflectors. The orange is not admittedly great, but at least it's functional. Maybe if my car was black, so the "wart" wouldn't be so noticeable. How much does the Euro bumper cost again...?

nice! I'm likely doing that this year (DC to SF). Moving a household, stopping by Yellowstone.

yep, the car was loaded with stuff left after we shipped everything off. Don't know if you plan to go that way but I-70 after Denver was just spectacular. There was a ~120 mile stretch with no gas stations, luckily we saw the warning and turned back to fill up though the car didn't go to reserve yet.

The front was splattered with a lot of bugs but was pleasantly surprised to see very few rock chips. the clear bra should help with that though, good luck!

great! congrats on the sucessful move! i will be using a roof rack and box to store my stuff. Everything else will be sold or given away (small household, just my wife and I and we rent right now, all wedding gifts are in CA)

Which 120 mile stretch are you talking about on I-70?

I will be doing I-70 for half the trip, but will cut out at Denver however, the planned route generally would be:

DC - starting point
Columbus, Ohio - parents house, drop some stuff off, pick up some food
Kansas City - baseball game
Colorado Springs - visit friend
Billings/Bozeman, MT - staging point for Yellowstone
Yellowstone NP - two days?
Eastern WA or ID - stop
Seattle, WA - friend
Vancouver, BC - 2 days?
Eugene, Or - beat up the Oregon Duck mascot b/c he's a di*khead
Crater Lake NP - 1 day
Sacramento, CA - friend
SF - Finish! Phew!
