I said I'd update after the track season, so here goes:
After the stroker build we added the oil diverter valve from Bimmerworld/EPIC as part of the build The car doesn't cross the third 'ball' (3/4 of the temp range) after getting double tracked. This week we got a 2:04.4 at Watkins Glen which is pretty decent, no issues there. A few weeks ago we were at VIR with 105F temps and it also did not pass the 3/4 mark The do88 hardware is the real deal!! |

Thanks for the post. I've tracked my E92 M3 and have had the DCT temperature warning light come on twice putting me in limp mode and have been looking for a solution since. Hopefully the do88 oil cooler works, otherwise adding another remote cooler might be required. I live in Houston and the warning light came on in a session in December when it was 65.
I'm sure my ESS VT625 supercharger kit might of had something to do with my issues. I've already changed the radiator and engine oil cooler but didn't think I was going to have an issue with the transmission - I was wrong. I ordered the do88 cooler today. |

Finished installing my do88 radiators yesterday. Looking to protect the dct cooler with a wire mesh but need ideas for getting it to stay in place.
Thinking of placing it between the bumper opening and duct, where they come together. I've come across info of porsche guys who install their own mesh: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...tallation.html I'd like to give the cooler some protection. Upon removing, it's obvious my unprotected OEM cool took some beating as some of the fins are a little bent. |

Is it possible to get that carbon shroud for a manual car if I buy the do88 kit?

On a manual car though, is there any sort of "cooler" where the DCT cooler normally is (passenger side front bumper duct?
Because the do88 Big Pack DCT kit comes with the following: - M3 engine oil cooler - M3 power steering cooler - M3 radiator - M3 DCT / DKG oil cooler I guess I could use the DCT cooler as a manual transmission cooler? Honestly I just want the shroud lol.

Following up to a previous post, I did end up cutting an aluminum mesh grill that I affixed to the bumper inlet using clear epoxy. It is holding up fine, ideally I would have wanted something tougher but that comes at the cost of added weight and more difficlut to attach cleanly.

I've been strongly considering these guys for a set to cover the lower grills / inlets.
Well I was, but their website is down... Possibly out of business Racemeshgrilles.com

For 2020 I have the full do88 kit.
For the third trackday I have no DCT shifting or temp issues, oil and water temps are steady thru 7x20min sessions. Ambient is 60-75* F. Have yet to be on slicks or summer ambient. PS. Previously I was on a full CSF kit. I had temp issues, but at this point I can't yet say that the do88 has solved all the issues until I go the full season. It is looking good. |

Has anyone done the do88 kit and *had* issues with high temps? Any of the Texas/Arizona/SoCal guys want to chime in? Preferably someone who is on slicks and turning properly fast laps?

Prior to the diverter valve and the stroker we had the full d088 kit and a fully stock engine. Just got two sessions on the bfg r1 but it was enough for a 2:06. FWIW, i don't find the lack of a thermostat on the stroker to be a huge hindrance. I drive it to work and the oil warms up just fine. |
