BUILD THREAD - Aaron's 2009 E90 M3 (SpecialeMotorWorks Car)
Hi M3post, this is my first time posting on the forum even though I've been lurking on here for some time so I decided to make a build thread for my 2009 E90 M3 showing its journey thus far.
Purchased in 2018, found the car with the exact specs I wanted at a random Honda dealership with 36,000 miles. The first few mods on the car were some spacers and an ACM Mod exhaust with MagnaFlow tips. I then powder coated my 220 wheels to gloss black. While at it, I wrapped my front grills black and changed the headlight bulbs. Next, I installed the KW HAS kit (perfect option to keep EDC) Soon after, I purchased and installed a GT4 lip from POM and got a custom skid plate made for it. Some custom side skirt extensions and rear bumper extensions. Done in my garage, my brother and I wrapped the car in Avery dark gloss grey (Nardo Grey) It completely changed the look of the car. My brother and I build custom headlights, we decided to go with a simple and clean build with Full DTM rings with carbon fiber eyelids and demon eyes. This really made the car look more modern and up to date with the current times. FINALLY, long awaited, new wheels for the car. Custom 32 Bolt conversion with a 2 step lip BBS RS-GT. This was in NYC Times Square during COVID-19 which was a really cool experience. Thanks for viewing my thread! just recently installed an AFE carbon intake and sounds goooood lol. Im also looking for test pipes for the car so let me know if you guys have a set for sale! Be sure to check us out @specialemotorworks on Instagram. |

Welcome and sweet car! I'm sure the mods won't end...
The wrap looks stellar. Did y'all have experience wrapping previously?

Wow car looks amazing!! How does the custom splitter look underneath? Is it connected to the undertray or just to the bumper?
