Stohr Formula 1000 at Buttonwillow

Driven by a track buddy of mine, this past weekend.

1:50 on rain tires.

Notice how early he gets on the gas (unlike Z06's and MDM-M3's).

Wow, he's flying. That thing is razor blade turn-in. What's the tread rating on those rain tires?

damn even his helmet has aero

i wonder how the downforce on it affects vision.

So awesome. I would love to run in a series with this cars. They can be $$$$$$$$$ or $$$$ to keep them up from what I read. I hope I am proven wrong.

Not sure what the upkeep is, but he bought it for around $40k from someone is East coast. Too bad those series aren't active in California; otherwise, I think we'd have an idea of what the upkeep cost would be.

You can get on the gas that early in a M3 if you have a proper diff.
