Drop DCT for mechatronic gasket?

I am pretty sure I have read somewhere that this gasket can be replaced without having to lower the transmission. Need to romp with #1 to replace #2, on the image below.. Can anybody please shed some light?

Thanks

I've read with small hands it's doable. Some more feedback in Slonik's GB thread.

If you manage without lowering the rear trans mount it seems like a quick and easy job. Will report back after I knock this one out one of these weekends.

You can do it without dropping the transmission, just use a very flat low profile torx tool to remove the screws, but the only problem is you won't be able to fit a torque wrench in that area to properly torque it.

Stubby torx sockets on a 1/4” drive shallow gearwrench ratchet.

exactly what my mech did, except we weren't able to torque it properly so it started to leak again...

going to re-do it and probably pick up a slonik sidecover as the Loctite used with that kinda cover doesn't need to be properly torque'd and only hand tightend.
