Bumbling through YouTube a couple days ago, I saw that Obsessed Garage guy installed one in his E92. So if you’re interested in watching a lengthy video on it... I’m sure he’ll put more up on it, too.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll check it out. Karbonius intake seems like better value, but I have asked for opinions on how well it fits.

Karbonious made some revisions to make it the perfect fit. There’s a fantastic thread on the initial group buy in the engine section on here.

Here is the link to the video:

The induction noise at 6m:18s is intoxicating.

Could just be a discrepancy in the quality of the videos but the Karbonius seems to have a noticeably louder induction noise compared to the Evolve box. Fit and finish seems to go to the Evolve unit. Karbonius has has fitment issues with the plenum rubbing, the intake tube unseating itself, the filter lid not screwing down properly, etc.

I have had the karbonius plenum and comparing that cf to the eventuri; the eventuri has much thicker walls than karbonius. The eventuri airbox lid and elbow are much thicker than the karbonius lid and elbow. I see the plenums being the same.

The Eventuri Plenum had 3 revisions on the top part and the thickness of the carbon was reduced down on each revision to make it as loud as possible but still be strong enough to not have too much flex.

It is not the same thickness as the rest of Eventuri intake range.

Have not heard the Karb one but the Eventuri one has drowned out the noise of most exhaust set ups once you go WOT.

Just to clarify this is not an Evolve product it is an Eventuri one. They are two seperate companies.

Just picked one up myself. Hope it’s not all hype. Mainly picked this instead of karbonius because it’s exactly the same as oem. In theory I should have no issues with my Dinan TBs and intake.

Will do. It may be some time before mine arrives as there is quite a waiting list. I hope it come before I store the car in October.

Goshhh that sound is amazing.....is the induction the hollow "growl" sound that we are hearing? I find it a little difficult sometimes to hear the difference on videos. Regardless, I want THAT sound that from the Obsessed Garage review! I currently have an Eisenmann race axleback only, so I definitely want to hear more up front.

Is it possible to have a plenum made with a matte finish? or better yet, without gel coat so it has more of the "out of the mold" pre-preg finish that you see underhood of some exotics....just wondering if there are different finishes possible with this amazing plenum.

Thanks in advance,
GM
