I'm very interested in these but I just don't want any problems like premature shock wear. And I will be tracking the car a couple of times each year and i want the setup to work well on the track. Definitely won't do coilovers though as i like the EDC settings

From what I understand they wont wear out the shocks prematurely... and when they do, we can just run the Konis and be fine. Like you I dont wanna give up EDC so Im hoping someone comes out with a EDC compatable coilover soon, hopefully before I take delivery of my car. If not, these springs are the only way to go.

Probably one of the best when it comes to EDC-friendly springs out there.

it is definitely settling.... that picture was taken with about 70 miles after the install.

that past couple of days after the install the car was much higher. Other springs I have installed on my other cars, the drop became a lot more after 1000 miles... My 540i dropped a crazy amount after a while.

Did I just read that wrong or did you say the car hot higher after the install. I am going to assume you meant to say lower.

Please post new pics !!!

What are you basing this on Frankie? We don't really have enough data to make this kind of claim just yet... Are others like Eibach or H&R prematurely wearing out the Shocks?

I'm not arguing that the RD's will...just playing devil's advocate here about the other vendors. Some swear by the H&Rs.

Hes saying they were sitting high when they were first installed. But now after driving more they are settling (lower).

Well there is no definitive proof that the springs will NOT wear the shocks out prematurely... But from what I understand, the EDC setup has nothing to do with the spring itself, therefore it wouldnt matter if the spring rates and height were different. I gotta run a search again and pull up the thread. I also spoke to my mechanic who has been a BMW tech for the past 10 years and he thinks the same. But like you said it is too early to tell. If however, the springs do add to the wear of the shocks, it is minimal. I know a guy with 20k on the clock running H&Rs with EDC and his car rides like it was new. I know its only 20k miles but what is the lifespan of the factory shocks anyway?

If I do springs I'll be going with Dinan. Not the most aggressive drop but it comes with replacement bump stops to compensate for the drop. They also match factory warranty.

Cost is about $800 but you get what you pay for.
