Sale Price help on 2013 loaded M3
I am looking to trade in or sell my 2013 Space Grey M3, it had all options except enhanced sound. 25k miles never in winter or rain. I added a full AKro Evo and some carbon parts. I just went to a dealer to check on trade in value and they offered 42k!! I left. Im wondering what others are getting for the 13's? Please let me know, thanks in advance.

Easiest way to check what a fair price is at a dealer is to simply check market of what they are retailing for. Back out any work needed, cost of CPO, about 2-3k of profit and that should be roughly what to expect for your car.
Based off KBB, The Trade in Range is between 45-46k, So they are about 3k Light IMO. Was this a BMW dealership? |

It wasn't at a bmw dealer, it was at a performance car dealer in the chicago burbs. I see Perillo bmw selling similar to mine for around 53k. Im going to Carmax this week and see what they will do.

The performance car dealer is probably going to sell it to Perillo for a three to four thousand dollar profit.

I will be shopping it around. I wanted to trade it in for a Jeep cherokee srt. I cant believe that our cars (M3) depreciate that much faster than the jeep. They want 54k for the jeep with similar miles. I understand wholesale and retail but its BS

Yeah, its a mass production car with a long production run. Depeciation is not going to be kind-- ESPECIALLY for out of warranty cars. Starting to see some serious price drops on even nice M3s for sale here as seller realize their prices were wildly optimistic and that modded cars are rarely worth more than stock.

To a dealership, modded cars can be worth less; especially, if the mods are aftermarket. They may give you a little more money for a mod like an MPE exhaust, but it wouldn't be drastically more. Some dealers won't even take a modded car as a trade, depending on how many mods.
If you're happy with the new car and the deal you got, then wondering if you could have gotten more is not worth stressing over. Enjoy the new car!
