After listening to other forum members, I am convinced that the ONLY method to install a rear diffuser is using epoxy. Forget the double-sided tape method. The heat from my exhaust made the 3M tape goey and my diffuser was falling off after only 1 day. With epoxy, the diffuser is on the car so tight that it feels like it is part of the OEM bumper. I do recommend the this product as a cheap alternative to an authentic VRS. However, whether you end up with zero gaps, will all depend on the quality of the install. I made some mistakes the first time around. (Nothing I can do now, because epoxy is permanent). But if I could do it again, I bet I could install this thing with no gaps.

My only concern at this point is that the epoxy is rated to withstand up to 120 deg. F. The ambient air in Texas can be around 100 deg. F. I just hope that the heat from the exhaust pipes don't melt the epoxy. The fact that the car is usually in motion with high wind speeds to cool the diffuser (and epoxy) might help. Only time will tell if this holds up.

Can u post a link for your DIY; I have one on the way from them now as we speak and would really like to avoid paying my local body shop $100+ for something I could do in my garage myself!

BTW did you have to remove/readjust your exhaust tips? Looks like you have and aftermarket exhaust like me (I have an Eissennman Sport)?

If you have an exhaust with removable tips (I have Active Autowerke which is removable), then it would make the installation easier. If you do not have an exhaust with removable tips, the installation is still possible, but won't be as easy.

Part of my exhaust purchasing decision was to get one with removable tips, because I knew I was getting a diffuser at some point in time. I did have to extend my tips out a little further after the diffuser install to make it look the way I wanted. However, people with rear diffusers and Eisenmann's exhaust seem to look okay with the standard exhaust tip location.

Kool ordered mine last week. It should be here sometime this week. We'll see how round 2 of this goes as my 1st try back in Aug with Adamaster didn't turn out as planned. See my post.
