This is next on my list. Need to figure out how pre-LCI installation differs for my '08. My left halos just went out.
I thought the 2008 and 2009 M3s have the same headlight/halo units.
Oh maybe? Haha

Every time I see one of these posted I have the urge to buy one. Which eBay vendor did you use? Do you find the indents and D shape more comfortable than OEM?
I like this way more than OEM. Note the wheel is heavier, and overall thicker than OEM.

andri-zakus is the eBay seller ID

Will do when I get to my car. I'm very happy with it overall. Will probably swap my wheel trim to carbon fiber soon (OEM is peeling) and get the IND blue M & start button, but that's about it.

I was looking at the one with leather trim and no blue center stripe. I'm assuming I can swap my current buttons over since the ebay pics show no M button. Not sure if I'd want to go with round or D shaped though.

4. Power steering fluid flush and new PS reservoir/filter
Are you using a friend or are you using a vacuum or similar? I was about to purchase the fluids for all you've mentioned above and do the same. I swear every time I try the solo gigs for the brakes I leave air in the lines.
Also, I'd recommend a turkey baster to pull out the old fluid in the MC and PS reservoirs
turkey baster method is what I did for power steering fluid
I used the DIY where you insert the 1/2" OD clear tubing and turn the wheel lock-to-lock to do a complete flush of the system. Worked like a charm!

The other vendor I've seen mentioned is Ledermanz from Latvia. Looking at the closeup pics it seems like his M stitching is neater and more precise than Andri's, but at twice the cost. Hard to say for sure without seeing/holding both in person.

Yeah I'm willing to give Andre a chance. Let's see if he can find the wheel first.

Replaced my spark plugs, the difference was very noticeable. I had about 55k on my old plugs.

Thicker than the already thick OEM might mean the new leather is wrapped over the original? Looks great though and I like much more than alcantara....!

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I like this wheel a hell of a lot more than my OEM wheel (which I just sold for peanuts).

I may end up going alcantara later down the road, especially if it makes a difference in very cold temps - since I can't get a decent looking M3 wheel (like this new one) that's also heated.

Right! I had 42k on mine and it made a massive difference. Like the power button for the old plugs was normal for the new ones 😝
