As posted on the E9X M3 Facebook group, I know this is a long shot but is there anyone in the US with a 6 speed Santorini Blue E92 M3 that would be interested in trading for my DCT LRP?

Bump for a rare LRP

Serious question - do u have to pay DMV taxes on a straight swap? Mind blown thinking how a private party swap would work when u go to DMV to re-title in ur name.

What if it's a trade plus cash? Trade a $35k car on a $45k car at the dealer and you only pay taxes on $10k.

At least in my experience doing this with a bikes (in Ohio), yes, you only pay the taxes on the purchased amount. So in your example, pay taxes for $10k.

Depends on state you are in... tax rules are different everywhere.. add in a trade between 2 states and I have no clue
