Wtb: E92 dct
Testing the waters to buy an E92 DCT, prefer under 50k miles and around $30k.
Would like a 2011-2013, but I understand I likely wont get the options I want on this year and mileage for my price range. Would prefer either a carbon fiber roof or ZCP package car, and don't care much about color besides not wanting black exterior. Would also consider a 2008-2010 car, but would prefer a Carbon Fiber roof on an older model and lower mileage. Same color preferences as above, not too picky here. Thanks, and if anyone can provide some of the cheaper ways to get into a 2011 plus DCT please let me know (ie what options and colors to look for). Last edited by M@USECOP; 09-03-2020 at 01:45 PM.. |

If you want to get a nice car under 50k rather than an alright car, you probably want to do alpine white on black without ZCP. If you want a car in less than great shape (IMO), then you can probably do a white, maybe grey ZCP with black interior. White on black DCT's with most of the options except ZCP are about as inexpensive as you can go with an LCI under 50k miles.

Yeah Im thinking about just going for a white 2011+ with under 50k miles, carbon fiber roof, but no ZCP. Seems like less of a headache compared to getting an older one with more options and better color or higher-mileage ZCP. It'll be my DD so I care more about reliability and the shape of the car compared to pure sportiness.

Thanks for the input, I've been looking through the thread that shows what people have been paying over the last few years for M3's and it does seem that my range is pretty spot-on.
I guess with the recent hike in used car prices and the fact that people price their cars much higher than they actually sell for means that it won't be as hard as I thought to get what I want for that price. |

It's a little bit more expensive than what you're looking for but it checks all the other boxes. Though it is at carmax.... https://www.carmax.com/car/19393188?adcode=EM_SS1Match
Once it's available I might schedule a test drive. |

Side note, this also has the extended black leather. So that's worth a few extra dollars. If it's $34k it's not that bad a price for Carmax. |

Also, I've had good success with http://bimmer.work/ to run VINs. This car: http://bimmer.work/vin/e9aa5331730d4...f7e7bed06ed2e/. Seems everyone else is trying to create paid versions of their website |
