Euro Bumper Cover

Need to post this here for maximum exposure. Does anyone know where to find a Euro Bumper Cover? I'm looking to get the pre-painted one. I know the part number, but I've asked a few BMW dealers and they're not able to order it here in the US. Thanks in advance.

Try a few of the online BMW parts dealers (Tischer, Crevier, Circle, ), or another local dealer... I did not have any issues in ordering the Euro license plate bracket for the US E90 M3 bumper from my local dealer.

Nope, won't work (I tried it with a Munich dealership's parts dept)! Problem is the dealership has no way to export the item and pay the Duty Tax, etc. Easiest way to do it is have a Bimmerfest or Bimmerpost person who lives close to you pick up the part while they are in Germany on their ED, then mail it to you when back in the U.S. [thats what I did]

your dealer can order it for you. If they say they can't they are confused. My dealer here has ordered it for people. Not sure you can get it pre-painted though.

It can be done, but the wait is like 4 weeks...

Get the P/N depending of the type of front bumper of your car (with headlight washers or not), get your car color code and call a dealer that have the wilingness to order Euro parts... there are plenty out there.

In the worst case, the Primed version should be easier to order... P/N 51118043960

Why won't it work? I'm saying a member on this forum that lives in Europe can buy it and send it to him, not call a dealership in Europe and have them send it.

Thanks you very much for the offer! I am looking into some other dealers here in the states, but If I can't figure anything out I'll shoot you a pm. Thanks again.

The part numbers for the pre-painted bumpers are:

51 11 0 433 097 For the Headlight washers only,

51 11 0 433 099 For the Headlight washers and PDC,

51 11 0 433 098 For just PDC and

51 11 0 433 096 for just the bumper with no cutouts.

Thanks for the idea, I've sent a PM to Will@Longbeach and am going to call a few dealers around me and then some of the ones that you have mentioned. I'll let you guys now what I find.

What is the name of your dealer? I'd like to have a back up just in case I can't find one. Thanks for the advice.

I think that he thought that you were talking about a dealer sending it directly to me. A member sending it would no doubt work. Thanks guys for the comments!

Here's another great parts website that GregW referred me to http://bmwfans.info/original/E92/Cou...1/ill-51_6721/

This particular page shows all of the bumper configurations, painted and unpainted for the Euro Bumper.

Thanks man. I still might have a chance to order one here in the US, but it would be nice to know what they are charging for it. I really appreciate it.

Well, I talked to the guy at the parts department at the local german BMW dealership. There are two options available. I used the part number (51 11 0 433 096 ) listed earlier in this thread for the stock european bumper (no PDC, headlight washers, etc). You can get the bumper factory painted for 812 euro or the bumper with primer for 337 euro. given the exchange rate, you're looking at over $1,100 for the bumper painted and about $450 or something for it primed. I am not sure how many labor hours it would cost to have the primed bumper painted and mounted, but the pre-painted bumper comes directly from munich or regensburg (if you are worried about color match).

Anyway, hope that info helps somebody on here out. I would need to find out more about the size and weight to get an idea on shipping costs, but there is a local USPS on base so you wouldn't have to worry about paying crazy costs through DeutschePost.

51 11 0 433 096 for just the bumper with no cutouts.

If I order the euro bumper for the Headlight washers and PDC, what would I need to do to have the display for front PDC appear in iDrive?

Wouldn't a Canadian or Mexican source be easier? Contact BMW-M-Mexico. Though prepainted is listed, chances are you won't be able to get that configuration.
