Sending back consumables is lame IMO and when enough people do it, the policy will change.

No. Not worth the effort, but They would take it back if you sent it.
That is hilarious. I agree sending old oil back would be more of a pain than it is worth. For brakes, plugs, etc, can't beat that deal!
I have two M3's and therefore change out oil every other month. It takes no effort at all to do. But I understand.

They have been doing it for many years. Not exactly sure how many but it is over 10. Not sure why anyone thinks FCP Euros model is a bad one for its customers? I love it and the guys I hang with love it.

How often are people changing out power steering pump? Is this something that would be worth purchasing from FCP?

It's really not that hard. Funnel it in with the oil bottle between a couple bricks. Takes 5 minutes. Free oil changes minus shipping costs.

With all the good news I heard about them and all those other lifetime warranties available in the US, I'm a little bit jealous

9 Liters of Oil + Filter are already 120EUR, would love to save that in order to spend it on fuel and tires. Or the coil pack that recently went bad...

Ive never ordered from them before. But this past week I went through all the parts I need to buy for my next service. I used the web form to send in three questions about parts. They responded really fast! Ill be trying them out next month.

Ironically initially my order was very similar to yours. But ended up with...

5 liters of ATE brake fluid. (Planing on bleeding the M and the A4)
Oil filter and washer for the Audi
Oil filter and bolts for the M
Rear Diff kit for the M

BTW love your ride and the OEM plus look! Hang on to that friend that detailed it too!

I think one thing you guys don't consider is how THICKKKKK their profit margins are.

5 liter jug of Pentosin 5w30 is $42 at FCPEuro, but at RockAuto it's $25. I bet you wholesale cost is $15. Same goes for rotors, pads, etc.

FCPEuro is making a killing at $42 for Pentosin. If RockAuto can be profitable selling at $25 imagine how much FCPEuro is making?

Also FCPEuro only stocks 10% of the SKUs they have listed for sale. Another 10% of SKUs are drop shipped from their suppliers. The other 80% of SKUs are fulfilled using JIT (just in time). When you place an order at FCPEuro, they go out and buy the part from their supplier the same day, then ship it out to you.

Their business model works because a majority of auto parts suppliers are in the NY/NJ area. And most deliver parts the same day. This is also how small mom&pop auto parts stores operate. You order something at the auto parts store, they tell you to come pick it up 1 hour later when it's delivered to the store from the supplier.

yes
a lot of vendors drop ship
yes, some items are priced significantly higher

but if you reasonably believe that you are going to get at least one replacement for a particular part then it becomes worth it

I know, fcpeuros prices are on par with their competitors. What i'm saying is, they can afford to do free replacements partly due to how fat their retail margins are.

HOW are Bimmer parts prices so volatile? I was looking at ECS Tuning for front OEM rotors just last week and they were $700. Earlier I wanted an ICV for about $250 and was $650 weeks later.

BUH.

I imagine the prices are dictated by the wholesale distributor.

I was talking about for a pair only. 700$ for a pair sounds ridiculous

As was I! Just last week that is what the front pair cost on ECS's website.

They have testimonials of customers returning parts of substantial cost, so I would say take advantage of the benefit they offer.
May I know lifetime warranty need to put the original engine oil to the original bottles? Or put into the bottles from the replacement order is also fine? because I just realized I threw all the bottles out when I made the first oil change.
Appreciated.

Into the new bottles is perfect. I sent back 8 as I could not fill all 9. No issues.
