Grinding and Rubbing Noise When Turning Wheel

At standstill, when turning the wheel in either direction, I hear a grinding and rubbing noise coming from up front. Seems to be more prominent after the car has warmed up a bit.

Thoughts on what would cause this?

Noticed over the weekend that it's low (and dirty). I added some, but see multiple level indicators built into the cap which acts like a dipstick.

How to tell when there's enough fluid? Added just enough so the bottom of the dipstick touches, but the sound still persists.

Tried sticking your head under the car whilst someone turns the wheel?

If PS is too low you can get a groan from the PS

Do you have spacers? I was on 20mm spacers in front and had the same issue even on stock wheel/tire sizes. I'm on 10's now with no issues.

Bottom mark is for when the fluid is cold and the upper mark is when the fluid is warm. The fluid will expand as it warms up. You might need to bleed the system if an air bubble is caught in it. I had the same problem due to low PS fluid, but it went away after I added some and didn't need a bleed.

Unless you run 0 camber (straight wheel) front 255/35/19 shouldn't be an issue. I run 265/35/18 front without rubbing but mine runs on track alignment. Get some proper alignment done and report back.

Have you found the noises root?
