I deleted it. I still think we should change the name of the event, because it means it is exclusive to M drivers and we don't have a lot of M cars in Calgary. But again, Asif made the thread and it is up to him. I was hoping so many cars show up, but so far only one person from e90addict wanted to join us. I don't know how come not a lot of calgary drivers from other bmw sub forums wanted to join us. Maybe I am wrong and it has nothing to do with the event name too.

What's in a name? We can certainly change it; I'm not averse to playing the semantics game. Historically, very few of the local BMW meets, save the PT ones have ever had more than a dozen or so cars...

I was going to join except it started raining like crazy and I had to finish a project for work that weekend.

Looks like this should be a nice cruise if the weather holds up. Will anyone be running winter rims/tires at this time?

I agree about the time, maybe 9.30/10 would be more appropriate, we should cruise down to banff for sure, again if it doesn't snow.

I think a short cruise is a great idea. I can't commit to it myself however, since we have an infant, and as those of you with kids will attest, most of our world these days revolves around the little one and her schedule.

I opted for a slightly later meet time, since BMRLVR is driving down from up north, and I wanted to extend the courtesy to give him sufficient time to drive down.

Another suggestion for you

How about we start the meeting a little bit earlier (1-2 hrs) and split the meeting into 2 parts:

1) meeting, socializing, snacks for the first 1-2 hours for anyone who is interested.

2) cruise to Banff at around 12 for anyone who is interested

This way people have the choice to join to any of them. What do you guys think?
