are these things really undetectable??? I mean it's an expensive system on top of the fine you get if they catch you with it. Has anyone been caught with a ''stealth'' installed system in quebec or ontario?

On Amazon there's new units for $409 USD.

I don't have much of a stealth set up to be honest, and yes by all reports the technology is undetectable

I'm kind of skeptical. I will only believe it if we're speeding and see that a cop is pointing his radar at us and we're the only one on the highway at the time

Not sure if there is a monetary fine, but I have heard they would confiscate it. Best thing of course is just not to speed!

In Quebec I believe it's a 1000$ fine if you get caught + confiscation...

Urban myth until I hear from someone where it has happened to. My boss had a radar confiscated form him a last year. They destroyed it on the spot and thats it. Unless I hear otherwise from a person/member I dont buy the FUD.

Based on the opportunity cost (couple grand fine and possible impounding of car) depending on speed...the benefits outweighs risks considerably.

At the end of day I am on the highway daily, and usually cruise @ 120-130. The odd day where I get the itch to go faster (on clear roads and sunny days ), radar just buys me a little peace of mind.

Its a link from a paralegal website, obviously they want to advertise that just like they do with speeding, to get your money!
