Manganese in the s65 ?
Probably wrong place to post this.. sorry. But i was somewhat concerned... Does anyone know what parts of our engines use manganese? My most recent oil analysis was normal except for high manganese. I read somewhere online that manganese is used sometimes on anti friction bearings. This oil wad bmw twin turbo 10w60 on a 2011 m3 dct. All other levels are normal but manganese was 95 while 6k miles ago it was only 1. Very interesting. My fear was that the rod bearings may have manganese in them but I was under the impression they were made of copper for 2011s+ Any direction is appreciated.

Here is the blackstone analysis showing high manganese. Apparently blackstone did not notice or did not see an issue

I think the reason for the high manganese was some race gas i used.
For just normal octane booster i have found the 104+ is the best for the price imho |
