Today I finished installing my storage solution for my BL-7000EXT. It keeps the lift out of the way yet is easily rolled out into place when needed.

I have all kinds of tools and have been organizing my space for a while. Some have already invaded one of our bedrooms because of the heat/humidity down here (everything wants to rust right away). |

I would go out into the garage and check for you but now that I have a GT4 lip, there's no way the jack will fit under there. But just from looking at it and the car, and the distance from the front to the jacking point, I'd have to conclude that it won't. The distance from the center of the AC's jack pad to where its handle is mounted is about 21", if that's of any help.

I would like to consider purchasing these quick jacks, can one of the adapters shown in this video work with the quick jack? I want to make sure something is locking inside the BMW jacking points:

You would just want something with a flat bottom as you would be putting it on top of the stock rubber lifting blocks. I just lift on the stock rubber blocks that come with the QuickJack. When Using a regular floor jack I did use an adapter like those as the weight of lifting on just one jack point would over time break the jack point plastic.

IMHO, the pads that come with the quick jack are good for the lifting points.
trying to line all 4 of them up, with those adapter pads would be a PITA.

They are not meant for compression stress, they are only used to hold something 'inside' them which contacts the steel part of the frame. |

I just ordered one using the Costco link above. $1,099.00 - $100 instant discount = $999.00
But, $63.30 tax and $55.00 surcharge for not being a Costco member, so $1,118.29 shipped. No one has talked about set up and assembly on these....I hope it isn't difficult.

Heads up, I originally ordered at $1099 from Costco and got the $100 refund for the current sale price with the Costco price match after it went on sale.
I also signed up for Costco with $80 in credit (not sure if still active): https://slickdeals.net/f/12255484-1-...w-members-only |

Nice wall mounting solution there.. I just push mine together and leave them under the M3, haven't run over them to date.
Also for anybody looking to buy a quickjack, check around on craigslist and offerup. I got mine for $750, perfect condition.. got the DC motor version which is great. Used it to do the DCT service on my M3, was super easy with so much room to work with under the car. Highly recommended! |
