Help - “car on ramps” dash alert

Hi,
My car is now 6 years old and still on the original battery. Needless to say I have been half expecting to run into battery issues at some point. Is it worth trying to do this myself or do I bite the bullet and pay the $400+ price at the dealer? I saw some older battery threads but they didn’t give me much DIY confidence, especially having to code and register the battery myself. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

you're better off buying a battery and a module to code it yourself. people have had good luck with carly, but i have heard mixed things. worked fine for me.

Even if you don’t code the battery most come with a 4 year warranty anyway. Carly is good to have either way, and just make sure the connections don’t touch any thing while you’re swapping the battery, tie them out of the way and tape them so there’s no accidents. Also make sure you have an extension to reach the battery tie down bracket

I see no reason not to try it yourself. Carly is useful down the road for other things so why not just buy it now?
