There's no secret sauce or something that won't be a compromise on the street OR the track when deciding between the safety and security of a stock seat/ belt vs a more track focused setup. While I understand safety is a system, there are a few very specific tweaks/compromises that can be made that aren't totally detrimental to the entire system functioning. Want to underline here, this is only the research I've found and I'm not anything close to an expert opinion.

I went the Nogaro route, with QFP. On the track that's coupled with HANS and helmet. On the street I rely on the QFP to give where it's supposed to give, and the front and pillar airbags to meet me in the middle. Did I lose the seat airbag? Yes. That is really the only thing I feel I gave up to tilt the car towards better on track performance of a lightweight, low slung fixed back seat. It's still power slide adjustable. I still have lumbar support, albeit manual squeeze pump, and it's still really easy to get in and out of (one of the most important features for me as I'm 6'4)

I also put a grand total of 1k street miles on my m3 this year so the phrase "ymmv" is not metaphorical in this instance.

Buy insurance, it's stupid fast
Is that straight as long as it looks on track maps? lol

I saw some E92 M3 footage on the track even some slower drivers seem to peg the 140s
I ran the full course (grand course whatever they call it) and yes both the front and back straights are long AF. My Evo was only 300whp and I hit 140 on both.

Agreed with whoever said the esses take balls to go fast. I white knuckled it every lap. Got in around 120 and out around 108. Gotta hit your marks perfectly or u risk going off.

It's awesome and scary as balls at the same time.

Thanks for the insight! I think at the end of the day, I might end up with a Pole position ABE and just deal with the lost of side airbags.

My wife does drive my car and the height adjustment was nice for that which doesn't exist in any aftermarket setup right now.

A lot of couples I know that are different heights and drive the same car do sliders on the seat and then a booster cushion. There’s a few decent ones out there.

What did you do to get the fronts to fit? 305/645's on the front? I've been waiting for just one person to do the work on this chassis and post up before I pulled the trigger myself.

Nice.

What are your alignment specs if you don't mind sharing them.

Okay I'm sure this has been answered somewhere but I've been digging and can't seem to get an answer.

For you guys running 18x10 square, do you use 75 or 90mm studs? I get the typical spacers with those wheels is 12 and 5, which 75 would accommodate. But wasn't sure if any you experienced both and had a preference?

No point in a stud being longer than it needs to be.

Longer studs will give more flexibility for running wheels with more offset (or spacers).

Slicer did the work a while back, read here:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=23978836

I have these and had custom longer MSI studs made and had them pressed by Core4. I run them up front with 15mm spacer in order to clear the oem strut on 285 tires. The offset of the wheels and the fact that they have a 20mm pad means that every dimension of your setup matters, i.e. strut diameter, tire width.

I initially tried the 90mm studs and had no free threads of engagement. I wasnt comfortable with this and so the custom studs.

From what I've gathered, many aftermarket coilovers have a smaller diameter shaft than oem struts and so may not need as much spacer, depending on the tire width you are looking to run.

Anyone tried 305/30/19 on the rear?
While the 295/30/19 has plenty of traction, the 305/30/19 has few more options.
