So you're a better driver than a videographer. Looking forward to videos from future track days! Sounds like an epic weekend (Portland trip & all).

possibly about the same at both! i wasnt too happy mid day saturday with the oil leak issue and really shook up after my huge spin but recovered nicely and went on to have a overall fun experience.

just put the items on my pelouze scale.

weight per axle
st-40 caliper - 7.5 lbs
355x32 rotor - 20 lbs
sr34 pad - 2.25

total 29.75 lbs but didnt weigh mounting bracket. if memory serves ec-7 plus nt01 are at 47-48 lbs.

i thought the oem rotors were a little heavier than that maybe 23ish but could be thinking of my e90. will see as taken apart.

got one buttoned up and bled and heading to next. only real issue was cutting off the dust shield. just a pain. everything else went fine. finish the rear today then do fronts tomorrow probably. color matches the car pretty dang close. used rejex on the caliper to hopefully keep them a little cleaner.
this is with my street vmrs on so no grief over that. have ec-7s for the track.

stock rear rotor at minimum thickness that came off was 13 lbs so 7lbs lighter in the rear. the bracket caliper assembly came out almost identical so wash there.

well i already have some comparison. my first day at my regular track pacific raceways i equalled my best lap ever there. at my other home track which i have less experience at so im learning the car and have now got the track dialed i ran 4 seconds faster than i have before in the e90. this car gives away a slight amount top end on the front straights, 4mph at pacific and about 6mph at the ridge i think and kills it everywhere else pretty much. no comparison really much better set up. the e90 was however on stock suspension and brakes.

just pulled front caliper and rotor and did weights.

stock front caliper at min thickness 17 lbs
front caliper and bracket 13.5 lbs

so due to the weight of the bigger rear caliper i gained about 7 lbs of unsprung weight back there. no small amount but at the front i dropped 3 lbs due to lighter caliper and bracket and similar weight of rotor. im guess those numbers for rotor weight might be higher if they were new maybe a pound so overall 6 lbs up in the rear and 4 lbs down in the front. wash overall as far as total weight and the weight came off the right axle at least so better steering response.

The weight loss is neglible. The increase in handling is fantastic!

These brakes are good at stopping the car quicker but I'd try and avoid that in every corner. These brakes are awesome because you can stay on the outer limits of the traction circle between turn in and apex.

last one is buttoned up and all bled. just need to go out and bed them and try not to pull a derple. as with the rears the only real pain was the cutting of the dust shields. james my plan is to get to the brakes a little later and harder but not abuse. seems i have gotten into a bad habit of using the brakes improperly braking harder as i get closer to the corner rather than on them hard to start.

first round of bedding was uneventful. not derple action to speak of. hard to tell how hard they stop yet because on street tires and they give up rather easily.

I just had Malek install mine. I noticed you have removed the dust shield completely. Any issues with that? Mine are removed on the front as well. So far feels great. Just finished bedding them in.

the rear i removed the entire dust shield just outside the parking brake area and in the front it was needed to remove about a third of it where interference with the rotor clearance was an issue. on my e90 i removed them completely and it was not an issue.
