Drove an E92 M3 on the Nordschliefe... here's the video

I was in Germany a few weeks ago and visited the holy grail of race tracks for a few laps. It was my first time there and I did a total of four laps--the first of which was instructed (the video is my fourth lap). The car was rented from RSR Nurburg and I cannot speak highly enough of their organization (I have used them before at Spa in Belgium). The car was DCT and stock except for performance friction pads and Toyo R888 semis. I hope you guys enjoy and if you ever have a chance to do a Touristfahrten there do not miss out!

Ok, I'll ask: how much does a rental E92 cost for 4 laps. 400euros?

In 2010 an e92 M3 was 1,700 euro........guessing 9-12 laps. I don't think that included lap tickets nor fuel. Oh and a 25,000 euro deductible.

Suzuki swift is 400 euro for 12 laps no fuel no lap tickets.

Rent 4 Ring asks 700 EUR for 4 laps. 12 Laps: 1 900 EUR. Ring tickets and fuel not included.

But with a 20 000 EUR deductible I'd personnally never take the risk. Too much can go wrong on the Ring, even if you're not at fault.

Link to rent4ring rental prices:

http://www.rent4ring.de/en/info/rent...dschleife.html

750 euro for all inclusive Swift (12 laps)
2299 euro for all inclusive M3 "RS" (12 laps)

Honestly the Ring has so many corners that a person new to the track should start with the Swift. Which I did (first time on any race track) then drove a few laps in my new E92 M3.........uh scary!

Garage List
Are you allowed to turn off DSC in the M3? I saw someone on rennlist rented a 135i and had to leave the nannies on.

You can do whatever you want but I would not recommend it regardless of your driving ability. It is not a very forgiving track.

I had the nannies off in 2002 and 2003 when I was at the ring for the 3 day school there. With an E9xM3, I'd go MDM, it's a whole different beast.
