I never thought this day would come.

My M3 started production today

This was told to me by the CA. It also shows up on the OC. The expected completion date according to the CA is Sep 21.

Eisenb11, hang in there! i am sure your M3 will go into production soon. A few things I (and others) have found helpful:
1. Get a definite answer from the CA regarding the production status.
2. If things are still iffy talk to the Manager.
3. You can always talk to the BMWNA agent (800 number) and ask for production details.

Surprise for me. 800 number just updated today. "Your vehicle is in the body shop and scheduled for completion on 9/14! MY11 E90!

Can ANYONE else on this forum say that they share their birthday with their M3??

The worst part of the wait is when your vehicle is already complete. Somewhere out there (in Germany) my car exists, but I have to wait for it to get here.

I see your point. How long does it usually take to take to get shipped after production is complete? Once aboard we should at least be able to track it. However, it might take light years for my car to reach SLC (neither east coast or west coast). I am assuming that they will ship the car to the west coast and then to SLC.

BTW, my car is MY2011 e90.

mine finished production on the 3rd
and the boat took off on the 10th
so a week total
but it depends on the boat shcedule
if your car is done one day after a boat leaves
your car might have to wait till another boat is due to leave

Mine showed up yesterday. I think they finally got the 2012 issues on the OC website fixed.

Of course, the status that it shows me on the website is the same as the phone one - "order is in, nothing more"

My car is in for service today, maybe I can catch my CA when I drop by later today to pick it up.

I finally got my ship's name... It's called the "Florida Highway." It gets to Baltimore on the 20th and it takes another 3-5 days to get to Charleston, SC. And then I have to still wait over a month for PCD (Nov 1st), this sucks
