JRZ Install help

I have a set of JRZ RS2 coil overs and one of the front dampers is leaking. I have another damper that I can swap for the leaking one. In doing some research on removing/installing the dampers, most videos show a hex socket inside the top strut nut that you use an allen wrench to keep the piston rod from turning when loosening or tightening the top strut nut; however, the damper just has a nut and no hex socket. So I assume I don't have to worry about the piston rod turning as I loosen the strut nut? Also, the old strut has a single big nut but the new one has two thinner nuts. Do I just torque the first thin nut and then torque the second thin nut on top of that?

Thanks!
