Dealer wants $59,995 for '08 coupe w/ 5000 miles

Silverstone with Tech, Premium, CWP, 19" wheels, DCT, iPod, satellite, carbon leather trim. Not wiling to CPO. Seems a bit steep to me.

That spec listed for $67,795. You should be able to get $2-4K more off of that price, given the market, I would think.

Good luck to that dealer. In this market, that is a real rape. 5000 miles of abuse qualifies for serious depreciation. No demo. That is used! He'll be lucky to get $54K IMO.

I just paid about 65k for a new 09 loaded to the gills. DCT tranny. Enhanced sound. 19". yada yada. Only 5K less for a used 08 with less options?

my dealer had 08's going for 57 about two months ago, given the model year and the current money situation he should be willing to go down, or else I would say go elsewhere

Just like they say, it's a major rip off. Is it a demo? Please don't do it.

I would not buy that car regardless of the deal (unless it were stupid cheap). Here is why.

If the 5000 miles had dealer demo miles, the car has been thrashed beyond belief. Daily cold engine 8000 rpm blasts. No breaking in either. At my dealer, you go for a test drive in a low mileage, as in 50, car and they tell you to get on it. Temp gauge is still on C. I am pretty cool so I warmed it up first. The second time I test drove, I declined to rev it out since I had learned of the break in procedure. I have too much respect for the motor! In addition, how do we know the owner broke it in and did not abuse?

That is a used car and I would offer no more than 50K or so (only if I were desperate and had to own an M and could not afford a loaded new one for mid 60s!). Take it or leave it. Take advantage of the economy. Just business.

No CPO = No purchase. Offer him $25k.

Wow! That is a rip off!! I paid $59 800USD with 800 miles on my fully loaded 08' back in September and then had it shipped here to Toronto.

With 5000 miles on it, you should pay a lot less.
