With the guys using the planted mounts, did you secure them using the OEM torx bolts?

I'm confused as having a quick squiz there doesnt seem to be enough room to get a torx socket in there and a ratchet?!?

You need to switch to a hex head with planted.

Thanks mate, that was the only thing I could think of and use a ratchet open ender to torque them up.

I dont know why they didn't have cutouts for access of socket torx driver

I'm wanting to mount the race seats as low as possible, teh planted mounts kinda sit too high.

I had some Vac and Macht Schnell floor plates Id bought cheap, they seem to sit lower.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around it, I wished to fix seat to floor mounts with no slider. (to maximise head room)

Since I'm 6'7 I need to have the seat sitting quite a fair way back, which is basically overhanging the floor plates

Is this somewhat normal? most images 'Ive found must be for guys who are 6ft max they have the seat sitting kinda straight on top of the floor plates, without it sitting so far back?

I'd bough the VAC seatbelt lugs but unsure how these would be mounted also, having the seat so far back, might need to weld these onto side mount or something...

Don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but Sparco has a new halo seat for you NBA players out there - the Sparco Pilot. I was at the local racing shop and saw this towering seat freshly unboxed. It looks hilariously tall, like a giant Circuit. I'm 6'3+ and the bottom of the harness holes were a couple inches above my shoulders.

Has anybody, particularly bigger guys, tried the Sparco QRT-R? They make these in full leather and it looks to be an extremely close match to Fox Red. It would make sense that they’d match it to a popular platform that swaps seats often. I’m 6’2 230 and the only aftermarket seats I’ve tried that weren’t hilariously undersized were Sportsters. I guess I should just find a time to swing by EAS and see if I can sit in a set.

I haven’t tried the QRT-R, but the Recaro Profi SPG-XL would likely fit you nicely.

I run Sparco QRT-R in my M3 and love them. Mine are just the cloth variant but still the same size. I am 5'10" 210lbs and fit just fine, have a tiny bit of wiggle room.

I think your height and size would be at the upper limit of the seat but you would still fit.

You're using the wrong holes on your side mounts for safety-- the slotted hole should be up front, the unslotted hole should be in the rear.

Question, anyone running the BK Mounts on the power sliders been able to retain any of the other electronics features besides the power sliding?
Figured seat/mirror memory or something could be an additional possibility...Looks like there's brief mention of it Here

If you go into a wall forwards, the belts take the majority of the load.

If you go into a wall backwards, the seat takes the majority of the load-- and the majority of that is on the rear mount holes of the seat, so you want them to be the strong ones.

For folks with Cobra Nogaros, I'm considering a set and curious how well I will fit. 6' 2" and 38" waist, can I squeeze in? Thanks in advance!

For reference, I just installed a Sparco Circuit II QRT and Evo II QRT, using the Brey Krause R-9261 direct mount for the Circuit II and R-9260 for the Evo II per recommendation from BK. I found that the Circuit II was slight off-center relative to the steering wheel, but there was some space available on the inside of both seats relative to the center console and tunnel, and the Evo mounts were a bit tight at the floor bolts. So, I swapped the right-side mounts of the Circuit and Evo and the fit was about as good as possible with these seats.

Does anyone use a single seat for 2 very differently sized drivers? Thats the problem I'm running into. I'm 6'2 260lbs with a 37" waist and my wife is 165 and about 5'6. Would the Creafoam insert molded to her size be the solution? Switching seats is not feasible as sometimes her run would be directly after mine.

Roastbeef, did you ever find a seat that worked for you?

To add some data for the big boys, I bought an OMP WRC XL seat. Fits great, paired up with the BK slider bracket for power sliders.

One important note, this seat is super wide. The shoulder wings won't let the door shut with the stock inner door panel still attached. With it removed, the door shuts just fine.

Attached picture shows the clearance with door panel removed

How did you mount these to to floor? Did you use the stock electric sliders?

I use KMP wheels. Plug and play incorporation of m-button, horn and dct paddles.
