As per my post on another thread:
As for the exhaust tips...Lexus has already made a statement that this setup aids in exhaust flow, creating a scavenging effect. So it's not a "gimmick" as it actually serves an engineering and performance purpose. The IS-F, M3, C63 and RS4 are ALL great cars, they all have their pros/cons and will all make a buyer happy. Thanks for the great review...as an IS-F owner, I had a great review of the M3... Peter

I test drove the IS-F a while ago and that thing is a beast, if only lexus didn't style it so ugly. If anyone of you have seen the five-axis is-f, that is what lexus should have done! The transmission is surprisingly good and atleast it doesn't have a gas guzzler tax. Handling is not bad at all and better than most vehicles out there, but its not M3 good. If I was in the market for a 4 door, I think I would choose the is-f over the e90 m3. Lexus did a great job on their first try.
