OEM GTS brakes

Does anyone know details about the OEM GTS brakes? How are they different from the standard M3 brakes? Is it possible to obtain them in the US?

I had the OEM CSL brakes on my E46 M3.

Google is your friend. But anyway, here's a set that was for sale before. They can be yours for the small price of $14,000.

Are you unhappy with the brakes on your car right now?

Thanks. Yes i found that set for sale a while ago right after i made this post. Should have searched google first.

Very expensive.

I don't my E92 M3 yet however i will be tracking it as soon as i'm done with the break-in. Trying to decide which direction to take with my brakes as i know i will need to upgrade them in one way or another. Either going to do front Stoptech or RS19's and front PF rotors. I have a lot of track experience so i believe the stock brakes are inadequate

Which brake setup does checkcaptain have with the slots not being like stoptech but being these little curved swirls in the rotor?

14K for painted brembo M calipers with specific rotors. So you are paying ~6k more for bmw m rotors.

Stock brakes can be managed to work for DE purposes. BBK provides extra safety margin.

It's no better than the standard Brembo kit, and the rotors maybe a little worse in terms of airflow on the back of the rotors.

Also search for "Biblical brake failure" here and see what happens when Junour Straus too his stock brakes with race pads, lines, AND ducts to Spa.

I have a OEM GTS brake kit for sale - brandnew for 9500USD
BTW - the OEM 378 mm GTS front rotors are about 5 lbs lighter than the 380mm Brembo rotors,
which is a noticable weight saving

Compare yourself:

OEM stock 22lbs:

OEM GTS 378mm 20.5lbs:

Brembo 380mm slotted 25.5lbs:

Brembo 380mm Type3 20.37lbs:

I thought the GTS brakes are from AP? Searching on bmwusa under the Motorsport accessory section showed that before. Is the website wrong I take it?

Edit: Never mind, that's the GT4 catalog

Fwiw, OEM e46 m3 CSL brakes are the same as Competition package e46 m3 brakes. Clearly, this is not the case for gts vs. e92 comp package brakes.

Unfortunately.

I own a zcp m3. And IMO zcp is a joke.

AP make the racing cars brakes.
Brembo makes the calipers for the GTS. Not sure who makes the rotors. They look like a BMW design on checkcaptain's pics.

This is one of his spare sets I believe. He's running the Brembo GTR setup with Type IV rotors shown in the bottom pic. Takes his braking very seriously.

No worries, I planned the GTS Kit for my car but changed my mind and went for gtr with race rotors after knowing that race rotors are about same weight than GTS :-)
