I watched the first detail, you really have got a special car. I wasn't aware of the OCD element so it all makes sense now. Sounds like you are going to enjoy the journey and the 'chase' on this one

And if you do end up selling it look forward to whatever is next

Keep doing what you do Matt. I admit I only watch a select number of your videos because time is precious. But I don't think your channel has ever been about catering to the masses and creating content for the sake of views and YouTube revenue. You've built an incredible community of like-minded enthusiasts, and that wouldn't have been possible if you weren't being you.

Congrats on the M3. If it were me, I wouldn't supercharge the car as the S65 is plenty special the way it is. I'd be more curious about a stroker build than a supercharger. Either way, looking forward to the content!

Matt's engine bay process is very easy - here's the video.

Thanks for full permission to spray wash my engine, which I've done before but with extreme trepidation. I'll probably stop after spraying off the APC and wipe everything down with an old synthetic chamois.

I wish I was clever enough to tease the idea of getting a car that I already had locked down, but that's not how this went. I was toying with the idea of selling my Raptor for another E92. I shared these thoughts publicly. It's fascinating that no matter how transparent I am, people always think there is some secret agenda.

There isn't any current car outside of an E63S that I was considering. Buying one for $130,000 and selling it a few years later for 50% of that doesn't seem like a smart move. Since I quit my job to make YouTube videos, I need be a little more conservative.

My old M3 was Le Mans Blue, Comp Package, Manual Seats, No Nav, No PDC, Leather Seats car. The main reason I did that back in 2010 when I ordered the car was to keep the cost down. Now it seems to be the car most of us would want. I threw it out there in video and on the OG Facebook group that I was looking for a car as close to my original one as possible.

That lead to quite a few rather obsessed people searching for the car at the same time as me. The one I bought showed up on True Car. I called on hour or two after the dealer posted it. The car has a euro front bumper and had paint work done. I almost dismissed it. Supposedly it was backed into in a parking lot, so it has an accident reported in it's history.

My friend Mike flew to LA from SF the next morning to vet the car. He is just as particular as me, and it was more than acceptable. I bought it that morning less than 24 hours after they listed it. I was looking at 5,000 mile $70,000ish cars, but I think this is smarter move. I intend to drive this thing. It's a 2013, 32,000 Miles, $43,000.

Here is the spec. I don't like that it has PDC, but it appears the front bumper has been coded out.

I posted a photo on Instagram that I found the car and bought it. Then the emails started for the Raptor. I posted a photo and price and sold the Raptor for $65,000 in about an hour.

So that's the story. Now the wait for the E92 begins. I overnighted the paperwork back yesterday and scheduled Reliable Carriers to ship it across the country. 1-6 week estimate... I guess you have to wait for the best.

I'll probably do exhaust first. Macht Schnell catless mid-pipe and Eisenmann Black Sport w/ BPM Sport Tune. I'm going to force myself to take it one thing at a time and try to enjoy the process.[/SIZE]
Hi matt! Love the content and videos and u make me feel better about me not owning a porsche because you own one of the best porsche there are and still buy old m3's Lolol anyway so keep it up !

Ps we have same name and same car but i need you to fly to cali and make my paint great again !

Cheers and be safe y'all tonight

Interestingly, I made this comment not too while ago and and have continued to watch Matt's content. He has completely pulled me into the "obsessed" lifestyle. I was always, there, right on the edge, but Matt has somehow made it "acceptable". I enjoy his content much more now and can actually relate quite a bit. Funny how we/things change over time and what we're exposed to.

I'm pretty sure he was extremely successful in his previous career along with the OG store, which is no doubt helped by YT, but certainly can't be all of it.

And for something completely different, you can try Hoovies Garage. His 911 (6 month review) and Rolls Royce videos were entertaining.

Ha, ha... I make about $4,000/month on YouTube revenue. That doesn't quite do it. www.obsessedgarage.com, training events, consulting on garage and detailing, pay the bills.

I just watched ur VINwiki car story video tonight on YT. You had me in stitches laughing. Some ocd issues here as well but to a much lesser degree.

I look forward to seeing more on ur M cars. I need to study up on ur detailing tips - I'm going to start a detail project on a mint 30k mile E36M.

Any ways - keep up the good work.

Good stuff!

Just curious, any idea why it looks like your Dinan exhaust stuck out so far and why the inner tips weren’t engraved?

I feel like all Dinan exhausts stick out that far on the E9x - it's always been a turnoff for me, personally.

If you watch Matt's Youtube videos, he removed the Dinan and replaced it with an Eisenmann.

I believe he went back to Dinan since he didn’t like Eisienmann sport exhaust

I love watching Matt's videos. Just watching him wash the car and talk casually about nothing makes me feel like I'm hanging out with him. It's weird, but I like it. I'm also getting ready to deck out my garage with the Swisstrax tiles and cabinets.

I've been really into the pressure washer series. I didn't think I needed a new one...now I do! My gas powered one is a bit of a hassle. Not sure I can swing the Kranzle money just out of principle, but I'm awaiting his verdict on the cheaper ones. Seems the Karcher is in the lead as of now.

I have a Karcher K1800, but can't find a foam cannon to fit it anywhere. It's driving me crazy... I even bought a Karcher foam cannon on Amazon, and its connector was the larger size. If anyone knows anything about pressure washer connections, I'd appreciate any input.

Here's the one I purchased that doesn't fit: AutoCare Adjustable Foam Cannon Gun for Karcher Snow Foam Lance Adapter Soap Dispenser K Pressure Washer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074KHVXVN..._c9tmCbF8KT8ZN
