Low mileage and tracking

I recently got my new M3 and its been taking me longer than usual to break it in. I should have 1200 miles by early next week. Do you think its ok if attend a track event with around 1500 miles? I want to attend an event on the 26th and i'm not sure if its a good idea or not. I'm thinking yes.

is the additional break in until 3500 miles just about not exceeding a top speed of 130mph?

yes, but I exceeded it on that first track day....... you just cant help yourself.....

I don't think there is any more risk for hitting the redline in 5th gear, given you have already done that in 2nd, 3rd, & 4th on the way.

Remember to start your car up 10 minutes before a track session to get the oil and engine warmed up before you hit those high rpms..........
