WTB: S65 Engine OR Block for 2011 M3

Hi guys,

Bit of a sad story to tell. I recently picked up a 2011 BMW M3 E93 convertible black on black. Obviously was super excited and dreamt of getting this car for literally years.

After picking up the car from a dealership in OC, I drove it back to my place in LA and literally within 1 day of light driving the engine blew up. Started leaking a ridiculous amount of oil so I took it to a mechanic who almost immediately said its a rod bearing/rod issue. After troubleshooting it quickly, the engine fully seized.

I am furious as I just dropped a considerable amount of money in buying this car only to have about 150 miles of less-than-spirited driving before it died. Straight lemon. Unfortunately, the dealer I bought it from has taken ZERO responsibility and most likely knew that this car had issues and was on its last legs and decided to fraudulently sell it to me.

So now...

I am in need of a good used S65 engine so that my mechanic can do a swap or a block that I can do a rebuild off of.

Anyone have any ideas / resources / etc? Really appreciate everyone's help.

Thanks

I think there are some ways to get some money back but you need to document everytbing now and speak to a lawyer

That sounds like something they knew about and then still sold the car. Engines don't blow up with 150 miles

I agree with the previous poster, lawyer up

Yeah I am speaking with a few lawyers already. Who all tell me that I do NOT quality for any recourse in California because a 2011 car is no longer covered under this state's Lemon Laws

Will continue exploring other possibly courses of action, such as FRAUD or BREACH OF CONTRACT.

If anyone on this form has had any experience in this area, I'd love to chat.
