Prophylactically replaced mine Aug 2021 w/rebuilt ones from Euro Power Motorsports (then MPower Motorsports). TAs just failed earlier this week. The car was driven moderately 40 minutes to an event, before being parked in 80-85 degree sunshine for 3 hours. Fluids were all up to temp when parked.
When starting the car back up again, car was in limp mode and diagnosed w/failures in both TAs. I wonder if the heat from the sun+engine just cooked the circuitry? A bit disappointing given the claims that these rebuilt ones are supposed to be uprated over stock. Still waiting on warranty replacements, and haven't heard back from them yet. Honestly, if supply is going to be an issue I might as well get them from FCP Euro instead. |

TA's hadn't started acting up, but when the fuel tank vent valve gave up around 62k miles, I ordered a new vent valve from FCP and TA's from Abdul, since the vent valve job required removing the plenum. Car has 89k miles now with no hiccups. |

I would replace them now but I'm still waiting for my actuators from Euro Power Motoring that I ordered in March. Luckily mine are proactive maintenance. Others aren't so lucky.

You've been waiting 6 months for yours? Explains why I've been getting ghosted when asking for warranty replacements.

We are almost caught up on back orders. We have a huge shortage of actuators and people still are not sending them back in time which is causing more delays. This is causing all sorts of delays. I’ll contact you on Monday and we will go from there. kawstik Majdi told me you wanted us to delay in shipping your units out since you were not going to be able to isntall them and return the cores back soon. Let me know when you’re ready and we will send them out immediately. |

Appreciate the response Abdul! I had been calling and was told that I should expect a response from the person's manager. Will look out for a text/call from you next week. Much thanks! |

Jan 2024 Update - Great News:
My mission since the start of last summer was to decrease lead times to 3-5 business days. To accomplish this, I started by raising the core charge. This did help but customers were still taking too long to send the cores back. Then I started sending free return labels with each shipment. I also hired someone who spends 3-4 hours a day just calling and texting people to remind them to return their cores. Finally, I purchased all the used units I could get my hands on. With these changes, I finally have units on the shelf and I can ship them out within 24 hours of receiving the order. No more lead time at all. Virtually, everyone agrees that EPM Throttle Actuators are the only option when it comes to replacing TAs. I just always had a hard time keeping them on the shelf which led to some of you having to spend a fortune to buy inferior OEM units. You can now keep the extra cash in your pocket. I will do whatever it takes to keep units on my shelf and save you money and the headache of lead times. Thank you to those who privately and publicly called me out if I didn’t meet their requirements. You made me a better person and made me make the necessary changes. Here is a link if you need units. Also, always use this promo code when checking out. E9xM3FBGROUP. https://europowermotorsports.com/pro...ttle-actuator/ |

2011 E90 competition w 87k miles, did it and rod bearing when I bought it late 2023. Abdul's new system working well, good communication and the box/label thing made it super easy.

Mine are original. 143,000 miles and 16 years old.
But I have spares ready to go if I get a failure, so Murphy's Law is why they haven't failed obviously

Fortunately didn't experience any original TA issues or failures.
Replaced w/OE VDOs @ ~68K as a PM measure.

Replaced both at 88k miles. They were working fine, but would throw codes when the engine got very heat soaked. You could hear the gears spinning on startup. I figure that the gears are getting worn, and would slip when the engine bay got very warm (Texas summers, driving around kiddos). Bought the replacements through FCPEuro, so next set should be covered ... but I probably will buy the replacement gears to fix the old ones as well.
