E90 Question - Sell as is or remove mods

Hi All,
Been driving M cars since 1995....Current ride is a 2010 E90 M3 with Akra exhaust, ESS tune, Vorsteiner CF Front Lip and Rear Diffuser, intake (swapped the Macht Shnell with the original box), HRE P40 wheels 275/295 setup.

The car has 53K miles - looking to sell...should i put the car back to stock and sell the parts or should i sell as is? How much would someone be willing to pay for the HRE wheels?

Curious. Thanks for your input.

cheers

If you have the stock parts still, then yes it makes sense to part out of it’s a high dollar item. In your case, the exhaust, wheels and probably intake can be removed easily and sold for a good amount, if you leave them on the car you’ll get basically nothing for them. The carbon stuff on the car is not going to be worth much and is probably installed with double sided tape, more hassle than it’s worth to remove. Just curious, what’s next?

I just saw a e60 m5 with brembo brakes hre wheels corsa exhaust and bunch of other stuff sell for 32k with 90k miles on bringatrailer so it's not always the case to take the mods off.

I live 20 minutes from fairfax. If you ever need stock 359M wheels I'll take yours off your hands for a trade.

Usually if you still have stock parts laying around its easier to take mods off and sell them separately. Stock cars sell quicker then modded ones from my experience.

I guess it depends on how easy it would be for you to remove the stuff yourself without needing to pay someone else to throw it up on a lift to remove and reinstall all the OEM stuff.

thanks for the input guys...i have all the original parts including 2 sets of wheels - original 19s with brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport and a set of black 19s with new snow tires 245/265 setup...i know the Akra exhaust would sell ...the problem is the hassle of moving it unless i can find someone local

Remove mods. They don’t add value to 99% of prospective buyers.

You're totally right, but it hurts my brain to think about actually adding weight to a car by using double-sided tape to stick fake carbon fiber bits to it.

certainly. I will take some pics and post - agree with the stock selling quickly assessment. If i have a buyer, i can certainly go thru the hassle of taking the stuff off the car. Hardest (or biggest hassle) would be to remove the Akrapovic Exhaust and put the stock back on...but if i can sell...then worth it.
