I'm currently running stage 2 tune with burbles. My exhaust setup is a catless borla with quad resonators and Megan rear section. I'm interested in trying the super burble option. Any advice with my exhaust? I feel like the resonators hold back from giving the full effect or is that just me? Currently I get the most burble action around 2k rpm range and haven't seen much around the 5k range.

Super burbles is pretty aggressive lol. It makes my m3 jerk when it hits the suggested RPM. Had to switch back to regular

So over the course of a week, I installed the Dinan intake, Dinan pulleys, and Eisenmann sport exhaust. Combined, they gave the car a little more pep and roar. Noticeable, but nothing crazy. Then I did the Alpine Stage 1 tune (and other stuff) and I've now driven ~100+ miles with it all. The tune was absolutely more transformative than the other bolt ons. Sure the intake and exhaust sound great, but the tune really woke things up, and it really does feel stronger and smoother now.

Yes. I did the retrofit and Alex coded mine. Do a search and you'll find the part number to get it. Fairly easy. If you're in north NJ, I'll help.

Here's my tune. Agency power with macht schnell resonated xpipe. I get crazy pops whenever I get go. It's a bit too much for the city. Every few times I will get a explosion that pisses people off and even makes me jump. Happy with it though, I only drive the car once a week for fun.

If you're a manual, you can avoid burbles by kicking in the clutch and just coasting.

Just wanted to throw my feedback out there. I've had the cable and files for the past few months just haven't had a chance to tune with starting my senior of college.

I received the cable and files all within 4 days of ordering. I was extremely impressed with how prompt this was! I was slightly confused on what options were available (e.g. cold start rev limit w/o cold start delete etc.).

After downloading the stage 1 tune, 93, speed limit removal, servotronic, and launch control I can DEFINITELY tell a major difference. This is relevant to: throttle response, torque, overall power, and sound. I cannot tell a difference in the steering wheel with the servo tune, but that could just be me. I will try my friends car back-to-back when I get the chance.

If anyone is debating buying Alex's tune—debate no longer! I am on a 10,000 mile engine, therefore your "butt dyno" may vary, but the stage 1 tune completely transformed the driving experience. The drivability in town is immensely improved! I totally forgot to try to see if launch control worked, however I will probably never use it, just thought it would be cool to have.

Huge thumbs-up to Alex for offering the group buy, I could not be happier with my decision to go with Alpine.

Car info: 2008 e90 6MT,drop in filter, pully, corsa cat back. Without a doubt the tune made the largest difference in both drivability and enjoyment.

Agreed, the best experience with any tune I've had. It's so nice to just request different maps and get them no questions asked. I started stage 1, then 2 and 2 different files since with various changes made. I also am unsure about the servo and can't feel much change, but like you, I think it could just be my ability to tell... Is there a way to change the steering feel a tad more in a map request?

I would also like to know if it would be possible to make it tighter per tune request. Also, does it matter which setting in the iDrive for the tune? I think the two options are unchanged and sport.

Hi, anyone compared how this tune vs Turner tune?

Turner is a reputable bmw tuner, they states with their straight pipe approx 40whp. Just curious how these 2 tunes compare?

My experience with Alex

This has been far the been the best experience from a tuner I've dealt with but never met. My experience may vary from some of you guys because I ran into issues. Let me explain.
First off shipping was fast 2 days. From Los Angles to Atlanta.
Instructions were pretty easy to understand and easy to download.
So this is where things get interesting.
Like I'm in Atlanta, so a 3 hour time difference from LA.
First step is backing up your files I did that no problem. took about 46 minutes.
Second step loading base file. No problem took about 11 minutes.
Final step load tune file.
My DME Crashed.
Being 10 AM in eastern time on a Saturday, Not going to lie I start freaking out a little.
Things I learned/ Experienced.
1 stay calm
2 be polite
3 when in doubt ask questions/ ask for help
I messaged Alex at 10:30 My time, So 7:30 his time.
I accidental woke him up. And you know what.
He responded cool and calm and collective. Help me Diagnose my car and helped me fix it.

What was wrong is I had a delete R from Akropvic on my car that I didn't know About. Car was purchased used. So the dme couldn't be flashed properly with that installed.

By 11:30 or so I was done and ready for the Track on Sunday.

When it comes to The actual tune. I did stage 2, stiffen up the steering.
basic track stuff. Yes I was excited about the whopping "20" more hp.
But the best part was how linear the power curve was, the car felt more responsive in the pedal and in the steering. Definitely felt more healthy.
Also the trans was so smooth, I have dct and the 241e update helped so much. I still need the dct upgraded to the gts spec.

In short great customer experience, great product.

I just loaded the stage 2 93 octane map....quick question, can I use 94 octane with the 93 octane map since the gas stations around me don't have 93 octane, I just want to make sure it won't mess up the engine timing or anything like that.
