Does after market intake bad to low end torque on S65 M3?

Hello Guys
I just had a unnesesary fight with my friend about the aftermarket intake system .
My friend said that only replace the aftermarket intake will give you a loss on low end torque and in my opinion , I think not. The right aftermarket intake will give you no loss of low end torque and gain mid and high range torque.

Thank you please give me some opinions.

you will find very little difference if any at all... the oem intake is very good, so you won't get much change

You will not gain any power on this car from an aftermarket intake. And if more speed is what you are after, you should have gotten a coupe or sedan instead of the cabrio (not to mention that in coquitlam it is only top down weather like 3 months out of the year)...

if he wants a drop top let him have one...

all you need is a drop in air filter...thats it!
the intake system on this car is unbeatable so dont waste your time

drop in filters are the way to go if you're looking for better breathing.

If the speed is my priority. I would get GTR as same amount money I spent.
I chose M3 cabrio 6MT cause I want both speed and luxury.
Thx for the reply.

I'd suggest looking into AFE or Active Autowerke for a dropin filter, along with AP charge pipe and AFE scoops to squeeze every ounce of performance out of the OEM S65 Intake System.

Agreed - the Macht Schnell filters are a very popular choice here on the forums, we install at least 3-4 a week here in house.
