What is the cable connected to hood for?
Hey All. I have attached a picture of a bolt that is connected to a cable that is circled in red and was wondering what that cable was for? grounding?
Thanks. |

Makes sense. But I actually never knew it was there, it seems that there's an eyelet for putting the bolt through it. I'm thinking for grounding purposes? Cause it's free hanging if you just unscrew it? <shrug>

The strap you see is to keep the hood from leaving the car completely. |

Its a simple ground, all the metal in the car is grounded, and that is a ground cable to ground the hood. When we where painting my car, I removed that, and I forgot to ever put it back on, its nothing really.
